I just got back from a 'quick' run to cash wise. I bought 4 of the Velveeta shells cups and no catalina printed. I asked at the service counter and they said that it was only on the 4 packs. I didn't go over to the shelf to verify the wording of the shelf tag.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was bagging my groceries I realized that I didn't get my Ziploc catalina, then realized that I didn't get the Velveeta catalina either. I went back to the cashier to see if she just forgot to hand it to me and that was not the case.
I also looked over my receipt very carefully because it seemed like she was ringing up my coupons rather quick. As it turned out she missed SIX manufacturer coupons totaling $5.40.
After spending 20 minutes at the service counter I did get refunded and got a rain check for the catalina (because she didn't know how to make it print after the fact). She also had to dig through the garbage can from the checkout line I was in because the cashier threw most of them away- even ones that she actually did ring up. I asked to speak to a manager to let her know what a bad experience I had. The manager just took a box of ziplocs to a register and rang up 3 boxes making the catalina print. The manager couldn't believe that the cashier had thrown the coupons away.
I have yet to figure out why I go to Cash Wise. When I do, I only get items that are on sale and nothing extra. It seems like more times than not I have issues. This is the Fargo location. I have been to the Moorhead location a couple times and not had any issues.
Suzette, you are kidding? I couldn't believe it as I read, it just kept getting worse - then the TRASH? I know I shouldn't be laughing, but wow!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Catalina machine wasn't working at your register. The Velveeta Shells and Cheese Catalina offer is actually for the single cups, so you were right. If they didn't get one to print while you were at the store, call the Catalina company at 888-322-3814. Have your receipt and they'll be able to access the machine's records and send you the Catalina if you still need one. At least that way, you'll get the money back. I'm not sure anything can be done for the cashier who thought the coupons go in the trash after scanning them. :)
Way to go on checking your receipt before leaving. As far as coupons being missed, you might try handing over your coupons just a few at a time to avoid the issue altogether. I've had that trouble before as well.
I didn't think about calling the catalina company. Great idea. I don't blame you for laughing. It really is kind of funny... not so much yesterday, but today I can see the humor :)
