It's a New Year, and in case you didn't notice, half of our coupon stash expired on 12/31! It was mentioned on the FM Cheapskate Facebook page last fall that we should have some kind of coupon organization retreat, kind of like the way that scrapbookers have scrapbook retreats. I laughed at first, then thought that I wouldn't mind a few hours in a row that were dedicated only to getting my coupon stash cleaned out and organized.
Thanks to reader Stacy, we are making it happen! We have reserved a room at Bethel Church (near SunMart in south Fargo) on Friday Night, January 27th from 5-9 PM. There is no cost to you to come and get organized. On the plus side, you'll have an opportunity to do it while meeting new coupon friends as well!
This is a casual thing. Come and go as you need to. Bring a snack to share if you'd like! Be sure to bring your scissors and preferred method of organizing! For those of you that are looking for the best method of organizing, I will post a series of coupon organization ideas for you in the weeks before the event to help you get started.
