Sunmart Deals 5/30-6/5

Sunmart locations in the Fargo Moorhead area double coupons everyday up to $1. Coupons less than .50 double their face value automatically. Coupons with a face value from .50-.99 double to be worth $1, and coupons with a face value higher than $1 are accepted at face value.

Before you shop, check out the printable Our Family Coupons and the printable Nash Brother's coupons!

Fresh Strawberries $1.87/lb

Avocado $1

Select Our Family Cereals $1.88
Use the $2/2 coupon here
Final price: .88 each

Buy 4 Select Kellogg's cereals for $12 total and get 3 FREE cereals and a FREE gallon of milk with Sunmart in-ad coupons
I'm not so sure this is the best deal on milk and cereal. Basically you'll pay $12 for 7 cereals and 1 gallon of milk. But, since I consider a gallon of milk to be worth about $3, and won't pay more than $1/box for these cereals, you'd have to have coupons to make it a good deal in my mind.

If you still have .70/1 blinkie coupons that were in the store some time ago, you could do this:
Buy 7 cereals and a gallon of milk (up to $3.50)
Use 4 .70 blinkie coupons (will double to $1 each)
Use the Sunmart in-ad coupon for 3 FREE cereals when you buy 4 others (Normally I would stack 3 more Manufacturer's coupons with the Sunmart coupon, but the 3 FREE cereals Sunmart coupon says No other coupons can be used with this coupon.)
Use the Sunmart in-ad coupon for FREE Milk when you buy 7 cereals
Fianl price: $8 for 7 cereals and a gallon of milk

If you don't have the .70 blinkie coupons, you could do this:
Buy 7 cereals and a gallon of milk (up to $3.50)
Use any combination of the following for the first 4 cereals:
$1/2 Kellogg's cereals
$1/2 Kellogg's cereals
$1/2 Rice Krispies blinkie coupon
Use the Sunmart in-ad coupon for 3 FREE cereals when you buy 4 others (Normally I would stack 3 more Manufacturer's coupons with the Sunmart coupon, but the 3 FREE cereals Sunmart coupon says No other coupons can be used with this coupon.)
Use the Sunmart in-ad coupon for FREE Milk when you buy 7 cereals
Fianl price: $10 7 cereals and a gallon of milk

Neither of these, in my opinion, is a stock up price on these cereals. Certainly a good price if you need cereal, but not even close to the great cereal haul we were all getting back in March!

Activia Yogurt $2
Use the .50 coupon here (will double to $1) or the $1 coupons here and from the 5/2 SS
Final price: $1

Our Family Cottage Cheese, 24 oz $1.99
Use the .50 coupon here (will double to $1)
Final price: .99!
Note: This also qualifies for the $2 off 3 Our Family dairy products, but the savings are higher with the .50 coupon as long as it doubles!

Our Family Yogurt Cups .40
Buy 3 for $1.20 and use the $2 coupon in-ad when you buy 3 Our Family dairy products
Final price: 3 for FREE + .80 toward your other items! (Or, buy 5 and get them for FREE!)

Our Family Chunk or Shredded Cheese, 8 oz .97 (Limit 4)
Buy 3 and use the $2 off any 3 Our Family dairy products available in-ad
Final price: .91 for all 3!
I normally like to pay $1 or less for 8 oz, and the lowest price I've ever seen on cheese in our area was about .66 for an 8 oz bag. This is less than HALF that cost, and chunks are included! I will be stocking my freezer with cheese this week!

  1. How do you freeze the cheese? Do you just put it in the freezer in the original packaging or do you use freezer bags, etc.?

  2. I usually just freeze them in the original packaging. I've found for shreds, there is not noticeable taste or texture difference after thawing. For the chunks, they can crumble more easily after thawing, but even when eating it plain, the difference isn't enough to stop me from stocking up and freezing!

Also, keep in mind that cheese will keep a long time in your fridge if it's not opened - just check the date. I tend to keep several in the back of the fridge where it's coldest, so not all of them have to be frozen.
