Mmm... tacos. We usually make them at home. Its fun for the whole family. Some weeks its ground beef and some weeks its refried beans. One of my favorite meals to make.
ReplyDeleteI love tacos, but my strangest taco experience was while I was in Mexico. I was at a taco stand outside of the place we were staying. They didn't have hamburger or chicken, but one red slab and one white slab of meat. When I asked what meats they were. The guy said one was fish and one was goat... so 2 goat tacos with a lime sauce for $1 was my dinner that night. :-)
ReplyDeletesheila! tacos sound awesome! i have a dumb question about the catalina business. so, just so you know, i am super slow at all this so please don't
ReplyDeletedis-own me as your blog reader! ha. so, how do you use the catalinas? you get them after you pay right? so do you buy some stuff, wait to buy the product that is going to be in the catalina and then shop again with your catalina? does that make sense? i'm not sure i follow this. it's probably super easy but like i said honey, i am S-L-O-W at coupons! thanks to you, i am gettnig better though!
We are "old fashion" taco eaters! Taco flavored ground beef on a flour shell covered w/cheese, lettus & salsa. If we're going "fancy" we pull out the hard shells! ;)

I usually make them at home but when we do go out we always go to El Mexicano. It is soooo good!

We virtually never eat tacos at home. Just super nachos..chips piled high with taco stuff. When in Nicaragua, I got to eat my favorite "tacoish" dish - quesillos. A tortilla filled with onions cooked in some sort of cream and quesillo cheese. Its served in a bag that is half filled with the cream..mmmmm
ReplyDeleteWe eat tacos anywhere. I make them at home, I make them as taco in a bag and I love a six pack and a pound. They're all good choices!
ReplyDeleteWe eat tacos often as a mean to use leftovers. Leftover chicken, pork, or beef is seasoned and served with everyone's favorite toppings. It's a great no argue meal because everyone picks what they like. My fav is chicken with saute peppers, tomato, lettuce, pic de gallo, and sour cream. Yum. Shredded pork tacos are a close second. http://frugalfamilyfeasts.blogspot.com/2009/07/pork-tacos.html
ReplyDeleteWe love to eat just your basic Taco's on Soft Taco Shell, with all the fixin's or we Also Enjoy the Taco Salad with the Doritos Chips.
ReplyDeleteWe like taco night at home with games and movies!
ReplyDeleteWe love to make "taco in a bag"!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love the ease of taco nights (whether homemade taco shells or store bought) and the kiddos love that they know what they are eating (versus most mystery meals).

Tacos are an absolute favorite at our house. Easy for everyone to choose the toppings that they like best and totally versatile--beef or chicken; or even just black beans. Load it up with veggies and some homemade salsa. Yum!

We mostly have tacos at home. I especially love them at the first of the Walla Walla onion season with lots of sweet chopped onion. I have never tried one at a taco truck but have always wanted to. Lately I love quacamole on my tacos. Yum.

We love to make tacos and put them on fry bread! YUM! lizthorsrud(at)gmail.com! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI make both shrimp tacos and beef tacos at home. I like the tacos at the authentic mexican restaurants such as casa ramos.

Tacos are one of our family's favorite get-together meals. We do all kinds of toppings-making sure to never leave out black olives or sour cream! Then we make two kinds of chip dip as well. Yum! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to make my own Mexican-style tacos with white corn tortillas and lime juice marinated chicken. I also like to make my own homemade tortilla chips!

We love taco's in our house too. I usually end up having a taco salad, my hubby had soft shells and my little guy likes soft shells someday's and hard shells on others. I love that I can make it healthier by having lot of fresh toppings for them.

*Shudder* ...my mother has a dangerous fixation with her own (gross) homemade tacos, which she makes as often as possible. That said, I still love tacos. My favorite tacos are from local places, but for chain restaurants, Chili's and Del Taco are good!
ReplyDeleteMy sons love a variety of homemade quesadillas, bean burritos and our own "cheesaritos"...just melted cheddar in a softshell :)

Tacos at home too.. in fact just last nite... kristinesuko@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWe love tacos at home! Yum! Our favorite tacos in Fargo are from Juanos, but the best tacos ever are from The Red Pepper in Grand Forks. I have eaten out of a taco truck! The Red Pepper has one. :)
ReplyDeleteWe make tacos at home- Taco Tuesday! My mother in law gave us a Taco Bar that has two serving trays for heating the meat and beans and the on the sides has room for the lettuce, tomatoes and black olives and on the top a warmer for the tortillas. It works great for parties and feeding my family of 3 boys!

while my husband and kids like the meat tacos, I stuff mine with refried beans and lotsa veggies. Makes me think I am eating a little healthier anyways!
ReplyDeleteWe do taco's at home. My husbands favorite is taco ring. You put taco seasoned ground beef and refried beans wrapped in a crest roll. Add whatever toppings you would like!

My 4 yr old asks for tacos every single day. He even eats them at Zorbaz which is just wrong cuz they are known for their pizza. Anyway, we love taco salad and add mexicorn and black beans to spruce it up.
