I don't buy much at Sam's, but have found plain popcorn (unpopped) and a few other items to be a good deal there. It's definitely worth comparing sale + coupon unit prices to Sam's Club prices before you assume everything there is a good deal, but shopping at Sam's Cllub (and similar stores) is a great way to save money if you're limited on time or do need really large quantities.
Plus, if you sign up before 2/6, get a $25 gift card if you choose to join!
